President:

Danielle Henderson

As President, Danielle plans and coordinates every meeting and event that the chapter holds. She also communicates with representatives of the national office to facilitate the success of the chapter. Outside of NSCS, Danielle is a Rutgers College sophomore, majoring in Philosophy and Anthropology. She was a recruited athlete to Rutgers for fencing. Last year before Rutgers cut the team she received All American honors in fencing. She continues to train in fencing and compete on the national and international level in fencing. She is also a member of the Rutgers varsity Women's Crew team. Her interests do however extend beyond athletics, she co-founded Air Castles and Slides, which is one of New Jersey's largest party entertainment companies. She was also a co-founder of 'The Good Neighbor Award Organization' which is designed to recognize people who give back to society on a regular basis by volunteering in their communities.


Executive Vice President:

Rich Wells

Richard Wells is the Executive Vice- President of NSCS. As Executive President, Rich works closely with the president to plan, schedule and coordinate events. In particular, Rich is responsible for End of the Year Banquet and the Annual Induction Ceremony. Rich is a sophomore at Rutgers College. He came to Rutgers to major in Political Science and Economics from a small suburb in South Jersey. At Rutgers, Rich is a member of the Rutgers University Glee Club, where he also serves as Vice President; Alumni Relations. For the future, he hopes to earn a JD in finance/law and is working towards a position in the field of investment banking. Currently, Rich is involved with several finance and business clubs at Rutgers to help him achieve those goals. In his spare time, Rich plays the piano and drums, enjoys amateur photography, and hopes someday to own a '68 RS Chevelle so he can drive his dog around town.


Vice President of Community Service:

Agnes Ng

Agnes is a sophomore at Rutgers College, majoring in Finance and double minoring in Statistics and Economics. As Vice-President of Community Service, Agnes is responsible in coordinating all the service projects of the chapter. These service projects include on-going events such as Elijah's Promise Soup Kitchen and annual events, such as Global Youth Service Day in April. Apart from NSCS, Agnes is also a research assistant in Aresty Research Center where she participates and conducts an economics and policy-decision research project with professors and her sophomore peers. Currently, Agnes is part of the Spirit and Tradition committee in Rutgers University Class Council and she looks forward to planning events to promote Rutgers spirits. Agnes is very dedicated to uphold one of NSCS's pillars of service. She hopes that everyone will be enthusiastic about the upcoming community service events planned for the year.


Vice President for Planning for College Success:

Catherine Cheng

Catherine is a sophomore of Rutgers College, planning to do a double major in Finance and East Asian Languages and Area Studies. As Vice-President of Planning for College Success, Catherine is responsible for coordinating the efforts of the NSCS PFCS initiatives, establishing and maintaining relationships with local school districts, and oversee, plan and coordinate March to College Day (March 28th). Currently she volunteers for the New Brunswick Library every Monday to help children from local schools who need help with their homework.


Coordinator for New Member Relations:

Cassie Thomas

Cassie Thomas is the Coordinator for New Member Relations in NSCS. With this position, she will help coordinate several events, such as Spirit Week and the Mentor/Mentee Program. In addition, she will be available to answer all questions that will be posed by new and prospective members regarding membership benefits and activities. Outside of NSCS, Cassie is a Rutgers College sophomore majoring in the Biological Sciences and Psychology. She is also on the Executive Board for the club The Children's Aids Network (CAN), which works with RWJ Hospital to raise money for children with immunodeficiency illnesses. In addition, she is also a member of the Rutgers Women's Rugby Team. With her position in the E-Board, Cassie will continue to uphold the NSCS mission statement of Implementing leadership through scholarship and service.


Secretary of Public Relations:

Alistar F. Martin

Alister F. Martin is this term's acting Secretary for Public Relations. This position demands a charismatic individual to promote NSCS, act as a bridge between NSCS and other University organizations, and most importantly, spread the word about our awesome organization. At 13, he became the youngest registered third degree black belt in the United States under the Chang Moo Kwan association and at 14, he began playing tennis competetively, and got as high as #2 in his region in NJ. His tennis career hit its apex when he was recruited to Rutgers University as a Division I singles and doubles competitor. On scholarship at Rutgers Alister now maintains excellent grades and strives to put his major in Biological sciences to good use one day as a surgeon. Above all, Alister hopes to apply his winning mentality gained through all his accomplishments to his position in the NSCS, to make some positive changes for the best.


Secretary & Treasurer:

Melissa Meghpara

Melissa is the secretary and treasurer of NSCS. As secretary, Melissa is responsible for keeping track of member points and for sending out the meeting minutes. She is also responsible for handling all money issues for the club. Her major is Cell Biology and Neuroscience with a minor in Psychology. She plans on eventually going to medical school, but right now she is focused on completing research with Professor Ogilvie on beliefs in the afterlife. Melissa is also a part of Delta Epsilon Iota, Pre-Medical Society, and New Student Orientation. She has been an orientation leader and is currently an orientation team leader. As an orientation team leader she is also a member of the Parent Committee. In her spare time, Melissa volunteers at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in the Child Life department and basically gets to play games with all the little kids for 2 hours a week. She also works at a hospital as a monitor technician (reading the heart rhythms). Besides work and play, Melissa enjoys going to the gym or reading and listening to music in order to relax.


Webmaster:

Nikhil Kasthurirangan

Nikhil is the webmaster of NSCS. As webmaster, Nikhil is responsible for the site that you are viewing at this moment. Nikhil is a sophomore at College of Engineering pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering. Nikhil plans to attend Business School to earn a MBA in finance. He is also part of other clubs at Rutgers: Association of Indians at Rutgers, Engineering Governing Council, RU Cricket and Rutgers Society of Physics Students. Nikhil commutes from Highland park, NJ, which is just around the corner of Rutgers' Livingston Campus. Nikhil is a megalomaniac of PC games. In his spare time, he plays games like chess, Age of Empires, and Red Alert. He also loves playing pool. On the whole, Nikhil is a committed member of NSCS and is in the process of making it better.


Faculty Advisor:

Dean Justine Levine

Dean Justine Hernandez Levine graduated from Rutgers College with a major in English, though she managed to survive CS111 and 205, as well as Calc II and Linear Algebra. She earned an MA in English from UCLA, and received an EdD in Philosophy of Education. For a few years she was one of five partners in an Internet strategy company, but then she came to her senses and returned to higher education. She loves working with undecided sophomores and with NSCS, because she feels that with leadership comes responsibility to listen to others and give back to the community, and NSCS is full of energy to do just that!
